What is the Law of Attraction?

I like to compare the Law of Attraction to the Law of Gravity. Why?

They are both Universal laws; one governs how the earth works and the other governs how life works. They function uniformly across time and space regardless of race, gender or religious beliefs. A Christian, Muslim and Atheist are equally subject to the principles of gravity as well as the law of attraction.

Now that the universality of the law has been established, what exactly is the Law of Attraction?

In my own definition, the Law of Attraction is the Universal principle that gives us the power to consciously create our physical reality using our thoughts, words and emotions.

It can be used to create and manifest the life of your dreams regardless of where you are right now. It can be used to attract more money, the love of your life, the right people, a better job or even a more profitable business; anything you desire in life can flow into your life with the knowledge of the Law of Attraction.

How does it work?

There are certain presuppositions that explains how the law of Attraction works to produce the results we see in our lives. A few of such presuppositions include:

  1. You attract more of what you focus on and whatever you focus on expands. So if you focus on negativity, the Universe will give you more experiences to be negative about,
  2. You are always creating; whether you are conscious of this or not. This means you are 100% responsible for your outcomes because every experience you have in your life right now, was created by you.
  3. Think positive thoughts if you want a positive life. If your thoughts are constantly negative, so will your experiences be.

Contrary to the impression its recent media popularity gives, the Law of Attraction is a law which has existed through the ages and is just as relevant today as it was in the days of old. It is practiced openly by many international figures in different areas of life; from scientists to baseball players.

Personally, I see the law of attraction as the power to create the life that I want and transform the one I’m currently living. It has given me permission to take control of my life and create a different outcome for myself regardless of my past experiences.
